The office was officially opened by Councillor Roz Blades, Mayor of the City of Greater Dandenong. Please click here to view the message from The Attorney-General, Hon. Robert Clark, congratulating gadens dandenong on their arrival in the area.

Patrick Walsh, Chairman, gave gadens rationale for opening in Dandenong; "In the last year or so, we have been looking to strategically expand our operations beyond the Melbourne CBD. We were very much attracted to the City of Greater Dandenong region and have committed our investment in Dandenong to further service Victorian clients because;

  1. Our research established that the local Dandenong businesses were looking for alternative legal solutions to the current offerings;
  2. the City of Greater Dandenong is the hub of Victoria's manufacturing industry;
  3. of the number of SME's in the region and the business activity in the region; and
  4. the State Government's identification of Dandenong as a growth area together with its $290m revitalisation project.

In the short time we have been open for business in Dandenong, we have been pleasantly surprised with both the interest and support that we have received from the local business community. Our investment in Dandenong is for the long term as we see the City of Greater Dandenong as being strategically important to the Victorian economy."

In his speech David Stevens, General Manager, said "Considering we opened in Dandenong just over 3 months ago we expected to hold our opening at our offices, but there is no way we could accommodate this many people and the number of people here tonight is a reflection of the incredibly warm welcome we've received from the local business and wider community. We are growing rapidly to accommodate the work we are receiving, the volumes of which have been beyond our expectations, and we are actively seeking new staff locally.

One of the benefits of dealing with gadens is that we can handle the influx of work because of the 330+ staff in our Melbourne office. So no job is too big, or too small, because we have the systems in place to ensure the quality of service that our clients require."

gadens dandenong is open for business and here to stay!
