Paul’s evolving practice maintains a large client base in the not-for-profit area. He works with government bodies, major corporations and charitable institutions around Australia in regard to their establishment and structures, policies and constitutions, and the application of tax law, administrative law and governance issues.
Paul’s considerable expertise also covers due diligence enquiries, negotiating and preparing leasing and other agreements, advising on settling legislation, acquisitions of business assets and corporations, public fund raisings and corporate reconstructions and amalgamations.
Paul has served on committees for numerous organisations including the Australian Catholic University, the Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne, Loreto Mandeville Hall and the Council of Adult Education, which he chaired from 1998 until 2003.

- acted for the Australian Catholic University in its formation via the amalgamation of six organisations throughout Australia;
- acted for the Victorian Government in relation to various administration issues, including the creation of the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT); and
- reviewing the principal commercial documentation for Ericsson Australia and preparing new formats (included standard product sale and service provider agreements, letters of intent and confidentiality agreements).
